Watch the new 9 R.I.P. trailer that also shows off a Limited Edition
9 R.I.P. interests me very much, as it is an otome dark supernatural visual novel and the term “supernatural” draws me in like a moth to a flame. Get swept up with Japanese urban legends, ghosts, demons, and spirits in this romantic horror story. You’re struggling with life’s burdens and crave an escape. You’ve also heard about prowling ghosts and people disappearing to mystery places, but will you step into the unknown when fate offers you a hand?
The 9 R.I.P. physical Limited Edition includes a copy of the game, a hardcover art book with protective cover jacket, an audio drama set, a Magatama necklace, Yukimaro’s fan, a reversible cover sleeve, a collector’s box, and an exclusive trading card.
Developed by Idea Factory/Design Factory and published by Idea Factory International, 9 R.I.P. will be released physically and digitally for Nintendo Switch in the West later this year.
Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos revealed for the West
Nep-Nep in a motorcycle combat action game? Why not! It’s all about extreme motorcycle speeds and accumulating a mountain of the Dogoos that are threatening the land. The game’s protagonist is Uzume Tennouboshi, the goddess of Zero Dimension. She’s a pro biker is a snazzy suit. But don’t worry, the four familiar goddesses are here too! Watch out for Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert; they are all gifted riders too!
You can choose from six playable character to collect as many Dogoos variants as possible. There are 15 stages to pass while Uzume tries to remove the Dogoos’ hold on her friends. Some characters are better as close combat, others are better with long-range attacks. These Dogoos are cute, but boy oh boy can they be menaces. Each one has a specific type of behaviour and positive/negative effects. Deck out your bike by altering its body, muffler, tires, and more to give the Goddesses better defense, speed, acceleration, and maneuverability.
Developed by Compile Heart and published by Idea Factory International, Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos will be released physically and digitally for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in the West during 2025.
Battlefield Waltz is coming West, too
Otome visual novel Battlefield Waltz follows The Maiden of the Cursed Sword. She trains in combat alongside elite warriors… and compassionate lovers. Ooooohhhh!
In one day, a girl loses everything she loves dearly, including her father and her village. She does get a new power, though I’m not sure that exactly makes up for the loss. She takes up a sword for protection only to discover that it is powerful and cursed. This sword could shake the foundations of the nation, and the girl ends up at the only logical place: ultra-nationalistic military school Nirvana, where people who excel in combat gather to make themselves better regardless of background.
Developed by Idea Factory and published by Idea Factory International, Battlefield Waltz will be released physically and digitally for Nintendo Switch during 2025.
Death end re;Quest: Code Z launches for PlayStation, Switch during 2025
Roguelike RPG Death end re;Quest: Code Z brings the series back with character designer Kei Nanameda and scenario supervisor (and Corpse Party writer) Makoto Kedouin. In the game, a new protagonist named Sayaka Hiwatari enters parallel universes where she cannot tell who is friend and who is foe. The world is tainted by bugs, and death lurks around every corner. Still, a group of young people push forward to confront mysteries and danger.
Iris was born in World DE-1, setting a series of tragic events in motion that were unravelled by Arate Mizunashi and his team. Her goodwill is restored, but Iric created a copy of the world named World DE-1.5. Here, feuds have become friendships, each person a perfect part of the perfect world. But a crisis emerges when a mysterious man enters the picture, leading a group of people identical to the world’s former heroes. The new hero confronts the chaos.

Otome VN Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights is coming to Switch next year
Temirana: The Lucky Princess is another otome title, this time from director Ayumi Takagi (Hana Yaka Nari), main scenario writer Uta Amemiya (Charade Maniacs), and character designer Nitaka (Touken Ranbu). In this world, a person’s status and occupation are pre-determined based on the month they were born. 15 years ago, in an eastern kingdom called Temirana, a third princess was born, this time with a birthmark on her forehead.
Rumoured to be the Cursed Princess, the child was forced to live far away from her family and the castle. But she possesses a special power, a lucky on even. When/if her life is in danger, people and places glow with dazzling light as if to warn her. She’s been told the people lit up might be dangerous, but she knows otherwise. Trusting her gut, the princess invites five men to join her order of knights. Too bad they aren’t all interested.
Developed by Idea Factory/ichicolumn and published by Idea Factory International, Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights will be released physically and digitally for Nintendo Switch during 2025.
