Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless launches this October
Two release dates for one game isn’t unheard of, but three?! That seems excessive. And Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless has three – one for North America, one for Europe, and One for Oceania. The game is the latest in a long-running strategy RPG series, and it has new features like Jumbification, Hell Mode, and Item Reincarnation. The character roster includes a whopping 40 classes, the most to date in the series. There are four new additions in there: Maiko, Bandit, Zombie Maiden, and Big Eye.
Hinomoto is a demonic realm that is changing. The days of noble warriors are numbered. Lazy samurai Fuji and bus Hideo fan girl Pirilika get caught up in the common and find they are unlikely allies. They’ll fight against a tyrannical regime, discovering the meaning of honour and redemption. The game is inspired by feudal Japan, drawing from ancient and modern history to tell the tale.
Developed by Nippon Ichi Software and published by NIS America, Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on October 3 (North America), October 6 (Europe), and October 13 (Oceania).
What happens when Warhammer and PowerWash Simulator collide?
Well, we’re about to find out! PowerWash simulator is a favourite of mine. I find it incredibly soothing to clean things digitally. Who needs real life anyway? The game has already teamed up with other properties for content, and Warhammer 40,000 is the latest to join the line-up. Players will clean up the Grim Darkness of the Far Future. Humanity is standing on the edge of its darkest age, but can you wash away the grime to reveal a bright future?
So where does this recently-announced collaboration fit into the PowerWash Simulator 2023 road map? Assuming that the SpongeBob DLC is the paid DLC of Q2, that puts the Warhammer DLC under either free content or paid DLC of Q3; my guess would be that it’s like the Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider collaborations, which were free.

Everdream Valley launches this week for PC and PlayStation
Last week, the release date was announced for Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos. It won’t launch until September, so the announcement that cozy farming adventure game Everdream Valley will launch this week is welcome; it fills in that gap. The game follows the player as they spend the summer on their grandparents’ quaint farm. It goes back to an age of innocence, when lives aren’t filled with responsibilities.
The homestead may be little, but it needs a large about of attention. These is a variety of produce to grow and animals to raise. Players will protect their crops and keep their animals happy, all while also exploring an open world and uncover the truth behind the strange magic dreams happening. There are very few people here, but there are over two dozen animals and insects to fill the valley. Each has some sort of unique influence on the farm.
Developed by Mooneaters and published by Untold Tales, Everdream Valley will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on May 30. A Nintendo Switch version is expected to launch sometime in June.
Juvenile sci-fi action RPG Haruka: Beyond the Stars announced
atelier mimina, the developer behind Giraffe and Annika, has announced a juvenile science-fiction action RPG called Haruka: Beyond the Stars. It’s not due out for another couple of years, but it’s definitely worth getting excited about now! It’s about the intergalactic adventures of Yuuki and a mysterious girl named Miiya. Players will set out on a space shift to explore unique planets. The game has an interesting format: it’s 10 “episodes” presented in a TV anime series format. Each episode ends with a preview of the next, following unique boss battles.
Humankind will be dying out soon enough. People have stopped progressing, having already explored every corner of the universe. Their lifestyle is now dependent on Energy Capsules. Yuuki, a boy who lives at a base for receiving Energy Capsules from the lunar ruins, meets Miyaa, who crash-landed due to a spaceship malfunction. This starts the beginning of their intergalactic journey together, trying to unravel the mystery behind humanity’s decline.
Developed and published by atelier mimina, Haruka: Beyond the Stars will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
