If you’ve had enough experience with a real gamepad and buttons, you should warm up to the virtual controls over time. It took me a good many hours of playing N.O.V.A. before I felt at one with the controls, but honestly it all boils down to memorizing the button placements, just like a normal game controller. Yes, you can argue that you don’t get the physical feedback, but that was never really an issue with me. It’s simply training your muscle memory.

Great review pixelman!
Gameloft is know for its bad, but they get a few winners in here in there. I'm really hoping Tuesdays Modern Combat Domination fares as well as this!

Thanks Christopher. 🙂
I agree that Gameloft has churned out more than their fair share of duds, but they sure know how to make a good shooter. If I had a PS3, I'd be all over MC: Domination.

When it comes to duds, I think Gameloft stuggles most with RPGs (gonna have a review up of that Eternal Legacy soon) – but those games that rely more of technical competency than creative direction – such as racing games or FPSers… that's where the developers over there shine.

Eternal Legacy looks like an abomination. I look forward to your review of that. 😀
Dungeon Hunter 2 HD has really high ratings on the App Store right now, so I'll be checking it out the next time I'm strapped for games (and not cash haha).
