The new system update for the Nintendo 3DS was just one of the big announcements made this week from the company.
First, about the update- it will make a few pretty big new additions to the console. The first of the two big add-ons is that the eShop will get a recommendation list for those hunting games in the digital wild. It’s kind of a neat idea, but I personally never use these kinds of features and I don’t really know anyone who does, so usage might vary on this one.
The second part of the update adds folders to the home screen. Wow could the 3DS use this one (so could the PSV for that matter). Collecting digital titles and other pieces of software to any great degree (or even a minor one) very quickly clutters the screen and pretty much forces users who want a decent view of their virtual library to use the widest view setting the home menu offers. Dumping, for instance, games of a particular type into one folder will suck a lot of the aggravation out of navigation. Expect all the folder-y fun you can handle this April the 25th in North America.
Also this week, the big N announced that Mario Kart 7 will be patched- oh, I mean updated – in mid-May. The download will resolve several exploits in the game that have been annoying players sine launch. So no more cheating guys n’ gals.
On the non-digital front, and I’m sure none of you out there will be interested in this one, Nintendo announced the impending arrival of a new New Super Mario Bros game. NSMB2 will be a traditional side-scroller like the first game and will be available in short order- this August.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 is a traditional side-scrolling adventure game featuring Mario, Luigi and loads of other favorite characters from the popular Mario series. The game was created specifically as a pick-up-and-play experience that can be instantly enjoyed by players of all skill levels on the Nintendo 3DS system. The game will launch across North America in August.
So, cool stuff on the way from Nintendo as the 3DS continues to completely dominate portable game and console sales… pretty much everywhere.
Really wish we (NA) would have had our own video, but whatever. Those are some great announcements there beyond the 'recommendations' feature that I don't care much about.
Really looking forward to folders, new SMB2 and I think the option of patching games down the road will also help. (fixing bugs as well as perhaps enabling DLC)
So long time I do not play this game!!! Really miss it!! If you are a chic fans, you can also go on a journey in here: ray bans
