It’s a relatively small update on Xbox Live this American Independence Day, but that doesn’t mean that there’s nothing worthwhile to download. A pair of new Arcade titles are out that just might steal a good hunk of your day.
Spelunky is already being compared by some to Super Meat Boy for it’s unforgiving difficulty and old school looks. I don’t know too much about it, but with support for up to four players and randomized fully destructible levels, it sounds like a blast.
The second game to hit Live today is an MMA title- Bellator MMA Onslaught. You pretty much know what to expect here if you’ve ever played a mixed martial arts game before, or maybe even if you’ve ever just played a fighting game before. One of Bellator’s main claims to fame is that the game offers a fast paced arcade feel and touts a ‘pick up and play’ style that most other MMA games definitely don’t have. Bellator also looks great and has a create a fighter mode. And, lets face it, everybody likes to make their own characters.
