He’s back!

Today is a day that is so rare for a person who’s covered the games industry for some time now.

Today is a day that isn’t E3, GamesCom or Tokyo Game Show and I’ve had chills crawl up my spine in complete excitement as I watched the freshly released Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes game trailer. Yes, like the snake he is, Snake’s newest instalment – that was thought to never exist – just sneaked its way to the press at PAX 2012 and well, we’ll let the video do the talking for us:

As you can see, we’re not playing as Old Snake anymore, as these events look to take place before the original Metal Gear (MSX) title. Who’s that young boy being held captive? Could it actually be Raiden? Oh, so many question to be answered, but in case you didn’t notice, series creator Hideo Kojima is at the helm and we couldn’t be more excited.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is being released for PS3 at an undetermined date in the future.
