Rockstar is set to release another classic entry in the Grand Theft Auto series onto mobiles to celebrate ten years of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
The ultimate tribute to ’80s excess (and my personal favourite GTA) doesn’t have a release date other than “later this Fall,” so it should be along fairly soon. The game will, much like GTA3, be completely intact for its mobile debut and even be updated a bit with some new polish.

“Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “It was a defining moment in the series and we’re delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets.”

And the Vice doesn’t stop there either, as Rockstar has a whole bunch of cool stuff on the way to celebrate the game’s tenth birthday. There’s some never before seen artwork set for release (which we’ll have for you right here on Digitally Downloaded as soon as it’s out), exclusive online give-aways and a super-limited run of collectables which will be posted to the Rockstar Games Warehouse soon. That promises to be a cool selection of what were originally promotional items- which basically means none of it is going to last long once it hits the shop.

This is the bio under which all legacy DigitallyDownloaded.net articles are published (as in the 12,000-odd, before we moved to the new Website and platform). This is not a member of the DDNet Team. Please see the article's text for byline attribution.
