Power A announced today that AT&T stores will now be carrying the Android controller/housing at retail and online.
MOGA is probably one of the coolest attempts at adding a controller to a touchscreen handset that I’ve seen. I had the chance to play around with one a while back too and I walked away with a pretty high opinion of the little guy.
It’s about to become much easier to track one down too as AT&T will now be offering the device for sale at a good chunk of its retail outlets as well as online. The peripheral is also available at Best Buy, Walmart, Toys”R”Us, Fred Meyer, Gamestop, and Amazon- but the idea here is that consumers can nab both the MOGA and a handset to use with it in one fell swoop.
“AT&T has great Android smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S III and the HTC One X that are a perfect match for the MOGA Mobile Gaming System,” said Eric Bensussen, President of PowerA. “When holiday shoppers venture to AT&T stores to pick up these popular devices on their family’s wish list, they can also pair it with a MOGA and create a perfect gift for mobile gamers.”
MOGA is already supported by a whole mess of games on the Marketplace including The Dark Knight Rises, N.O.V.A. 3, and Death Rally (among others) – with more on the way. It currently supports Android version 2.3 (or Gingerbread if you’re in the Holiday mood) and greater.
