The week’s Play-Asia specials; Experience grinding with a dash of Professor Layton

2 mins read
If you’re on the hunt for some cheap games for your consoles, Play-Asia rotates around weekly specials, and there are often some really great bargains to be picked up.

It’s all about Nintendo handheld consoles this week, and specifically, this week you can get some of the finest JRPGs you will ever play on the go for cheap.

We’ll start with Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. It’s hard to tell whether this is the game that will hook you into the series, as these games always take some commitment to really appreciate, but if you’ve ever felt like taking a risk on one of the finest JRPG franchise, here’s a cheap place to start.

Tales of the Abyss was one of the first JRPGs released on the 3DS and boy does it not fail to deliver. Perhaps not the finest use of 3D ever, but the game itself is worth dozens of hours of play.

Finally, if you’re a very strange person and have somehow missed out on experiencing the Professor Layton games, you can pick up Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask on the cheap and experience some of the finest animation and puzzling gameplay you’ll ever experience in three dimensions.

Time to whip out the DS or 3DS, methinks.
