Just as dulcet-voiced fans (like me!) of the incomparably charming Hatsune Miku were getting used to the fact that the sequel to her first game to be released in the West, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, was actually dancing its way to the global market, SEGA pleases us with another melodic surprise:
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd is receiving an English lyric translation for the majority of its 40 song track list, when it harmonises its way onto the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita this fall.
John Cheng, President and COO of SEGA of America, has said that he and his team are proud of the “herculean” translation project, and to ensure that we fans better understand the meaning and context of Hatsune Miku’s world, they have worked closely with Japanese partners and artists to maintain the original’s lyrical intent, which is encouraging to those of us who admire the first game’s authentically Japanese style and tone.
