Idea Factory’s first JRPG of the year is a fast-paced, action JRPG, about a small group of people searching desperately for a miracle that will halt a creeping apocalypse.
It’s probably not a game that has been on many people’s radars, but it should be, because Idea Factory has rapidly matured over this console generation. Now, they’re not just producing highly quirky and super-niche JRPGs, where fans needed to push though certain gameplay limitations in order to enjoy the quirkiness.
Now, these games are of a legitimately high standard as games as well, and Arc of Alchemist is yet more proof that as we move into the next console generation, Idea Factory is the JRPG house to watch.
