The upcoming release of Final Fantasy VII Remake has had many people talking about what defines a Final Fantasy game – as we all know, each title has its own unique setting, characters, and narrative, so what is it exactly that the series shares?

Do let me know what defines a Final Fantasy game to you in the comments! It’s an interesting discussion!
