Sadly, thanks to COVID-19 being the nightmare that it is, Tokyo Game Show won’t be pushing on as normal this year. The alternative – an online show event streams from all your favourite Japanese developers and publishers – is still shaping up to be a wonderful celebration of gaming, however.

The company behind TGS has shared its schedule for all the major streams and event. We’ve copied it below. As you can see, it’s real wall-to-wall good stuff. For more information on each individual event, and where to tune in, click on over to the official website (don’t worry, it has an English version).

Words can’t describe how crushed I am that there is no event this year. For the last half-decade or so, TGS has been a major highlight on my calendar, and an opportunity to get plenty of good quality interviews and facetime with the Japanese industry. Not being there is going to set me back big-time, but at least in terms of announcements, footage, and the general entertainment that TGS offers, there looks like there will be plenty to go around. We’re already promised information on new Dynasty Warriors, for example, so that alone will make this show worth tuning into.

We’ll do our best to keep you updated as the show rolls closer!
