Check out the launch trailer for AI Limit before its release this week
Slightly delayed from its initial release window of last year, action RPG AI Limit is set to launch this week for PC and PlayStation. The trailer brings us to a world on the brink of destruction. Civilization has fallen and everyone remaining is fighting for scraps to survive. Havenswell is humanity’s last city, besieged by the Necros. Arrisa, an immortal Blader, wants to find the truth behind her origin. A rival Blader, a shadowy figure, is out to stop Arissa before she can learn anything. Can she rise to the challenge, or will she become another victim of unforgiving streets?
The title is available in standard and deluxe editions. The Deluxe Edition includes the game, White Sparrow’s Goat and Mask, an Opossums Sais, a Mud Ball, a Pure Crystal, and a digital artbook. Anyone who pre-orders either version will receive an exclusive Maid Outfit and Hairband.
Developed by Sense Games and published by CE-Asia, AI Limit will be released for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5 on March 27. (It unlocks at 14:00 UTC, which is 10 a.m. in Toronto or 1:00 on March 28 in Sydney.)
Narrative-driven online co-op game Finch & Archie launches soon for PC
Aussie game alert! The first game developed by Perth-based indie studio Octarine Arts, Finch & Archie, is a co-op detective game about a detective and his very good boy. Set during the Great Depression, players can control one of two characters: Jack Finch or his dog Archie. Players have to solve a series of murders, each tied to an overarching story.
Finch lost his previous canine cop companion and vows never to work with one again… until Archie changes his life. To track down a serial killer, the new team will have to communicate efficiently to catch the killer and restore peace. Each character’s unique skills allow them to uncover clues. Through interrogation techniques, Finch and Archie can question alibis and expose contradictions. Players must get creative with the communication part, especially considering Finch is fluent in English and Archie is fluent in barking.
Developed by Octarine Arts with funding support from Screenwest and Screen Australia, Finch & Archie is being developed for PC via Steam.
Cozy diorama-building adventure ShantyTown announced
ShantyTown is described as a one-of-a-kind adventure. The fresh take on city-building is meant to spark imagination and reward creativity as you craft bustling, vibrant cityscapes. Enter the dreamlike world and create lively, urban dioramas in unconventional locations. As you carefully place shops, cafés, and gardens, each build reveals the essence of its location.
Your options are abundant. Do you construct a floating tea shop at a ferry terminal? Design a nightlife district inside a transit pipeline? Or craft a serene mountaintop temple bathhouse? (I say, why not all three?) Each location includes a carefully curated set of objects and your space is limited. Create dense, eye-catching dioramas by stacking and arranging every object. There are no strict win-lose conditions, though there are optional objects if you prefer some guidance. After you complete your masterpiece, take a photo for your dossier and head on to the next build.
Developed and published by Silk Softworks (Erik Rempen), ShantyTown will be released for PC via Steam in Q4 2025.
Headup will publish Vessels of Decay for PC and consoles this year
Vessels of Decay is a Scandinavian post-apocalyptic horror action-adventure game with a pixel art style; it is being developed by Simon Jakobsson and Aurora Punks. Last week, Headup announced that it would publish the game for PC and consoles in Q3 2025. Vessels of Decay follows siblings Freja and Mud as they battle folkloric horrors while exploring the ruins of the civilizations they inhabit.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Simon Jakobsson and Aurora Punks to bring Vessels of Decay to players worldwide,” said Headup CEO Dieter Schoeller in a press release. “This game’s unique blend of Scandinavian folklore, fast-paced action, and eye-catching retro-inspired visuals makes it a truly special experience, and we can’t wait for players to explore its haunting world.”
In Vessels of Decay, the ruins of a once-modern society clash with the renewed growth of nature — and the supernatural. The Scandinavian setting is the backdrop to reflective melancholy, exploration, and fast-paced action. The dynamic battle system means that your combat and kill styles are entirely up to you. You can show off with unique finishers complete with animations and flourishes.
Developed by Simon Jakobsson and Aurora Punks, and published by Headup, Vessels of Decay will be released for PC via Steam/GOG, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One in 2025.
