Breeze in the Clouds will be released this year

In 2023, 2D action adventure game Breeze in the Clouds was announced. Twice in the last two years, publisher Humble Games has laid off staff; for a while, I wasn’t sure any of its announced games would see the light of day. Luckily, Breeze in the Clouds is still being developed for PC and now has a 2025 release window. The charming game is about a weather-controlling corgi and combines whimsical storytelling with dynamic, combo-driven combat.

Breeze the Corgi is swept off to Tropolis, where animals control the weather. To find his way back home, Breeze has to learn how to control his new powers, master the elements (Wind, Cloud, and more), and battle pollution. Using the elements to your advantage, unleash devastating attacks against your enemies. There are over a dozen bosses, from icy wolves to storm-bringing platypuses; each has its own weather-based powers.

Developed by Stormy Nights Interactive and published by Humble Games, Breeze in the Clouds will be released for PC later in 2025.

Akupara Games will publish music automation game Future Vibe Check

Build, automate, and groover in Future Vibe Check, set in a world where music and machinery unite. It’s not just about feeling the vibe, it’s about crafting it with symphonic masterpieces. Last week, Akupara Games announced it would be publishing the Unwise-developed music automation game. Here, your factories produced music rather than goods. After being summoned by Infinity, you are tasked with rebuilding reality.

“I wanted to make something a younger version of myself would have truly loved,” says Future Vibe Check creator Manik Bhat in a press release. “That’s what I’ve been working on with Future Vibe Check for over two years—an automation game where you make music. It taps into the instinctual drive to optimize and grow, common in these games, and sublimates that into something divinely human, which is creative energy and playing music.”

Developed by Unwise and published by Akupara Games, Future Vibe Check has been announced for PC (Steam).

Cooking RPG Town of Zoz announced for PC

Save a village from its secrets in Town of Zoz, an upcoming cooking action RPG game coming to PC that was announced during last week’s Humble Games Showcase. Players will join a reluctant hero who returns to his family’s businesses (a farm and a restaurant) in a village dripping in ancient curses. The game blends exploration, action combat, and heartwarming cooking mechanics.

Ito is reluctant to return home, but he does anyway following a letter from his parents. He settles back into home life while uncovering dark secrets of the town’s past that still linger. Ito is one of the last Shaman Chefs in town, so he will use combat and his magical culinary skills to heal the community and protect them from a long-standing curse. Magical food creatures called Nomos provide him with ingredients to cook Latin American-inspired meals, which he uses to build trust with the townsfolk or eats to gain powerful buffs.

Developed by Studio Pixanoh and published by Humble Games, Town of Zoz is being developed for PC (Steam).

Fruitbus is coming to consoles

When I wrote about heartwarming food truck adventure game Fruitbus last July, it was set to be released for PC and unspecified consoles. It launched for PC in October, and last week the console versions were finally announced thanks to a new partnership. Silver Lining Interactive will publish the Krillbite Studios-developed game for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch later this year, both digitally and physically. Below is Fruitbus’ launch trailer:

Fruitbus is a cozy, food-filled game about a food truck. This open-world culinary adventure is all about flavour. Take the driver’s seat of your grandma’s truck, exploring the area and foraging for the freshest ingredients. Every meal is a new chance to spread joy, so you’ll be serving up happiness in no time!

Developed by Krillbite Studios and published for consoles by Silver Lining Interactive, Fruitbus will be released digitally and physically for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch later in 2025.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
