Learn more about Into the Restless Ruins in a new trailer

Scotland-based Ant Workshop and Wales-based Wales Interactive are passionate about innovative game design and rich storytelling, so working together makes perfect sense. Roguelike deckbuilding game Into the Restless Ruins continues to highlight under-represented voices and traditions with a base of Scottish and Celtic folklore. A new trailer features this folklore alongside the game’s mechanics and strategic gameplay.

In the game, you create the dungeon you fight through using a deck of cards to expand a labyrinth of ruins, auto-battle through your design, and harvest Glimour to earn The Maiden’s blessing. Place rooms, corridors, and strategic elements, and position certain rooms to unlock powerful effects. Will you face The Warden to earn the Maiden’s elusive promise or will you become another soul lost amongst the ruins?

Developed by Ant Workshop and published by Wales Interactive, Into the Restless Ruins will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series in Q2 2025. A new demo is featured in Steam Next Fest.

PowerWash Simulator’s Wallace & Gromit Special Pack launch date announced

New PowerWash Simulator DLC is always a good time; from the look of it, the Wallace & Gromit Special Pack promises the same amount of messy-to-tidy fun.

In this paid DLC, Wallace has created a new invention to help with your cleaning: WASH LAD. Venture to places like the charming British suburbs and cheesy celestial bodies.

Developed by FuturLab and published by Square Enix Collective, PowerWash Simulator is available for PC (Steam, Microsoft), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One. The Wallace & Gromit Special Pack will be released for those platforms on March 4.

Sorry We’re Closed is coming to consoles next month

Originally released for PC last November, neon-soaked survival horror game Sorry We’re Closed is a love story wrapped in a PSX horror aesthetic. The eccentric narrative game is about demons, angels, and what happens when they collide. Michelle has to use her Third Eye to see between worlds, uncovering secrets and solving puzzles. Sorry We’re Closed is a mix of fixed-camera exploration and arcade-style shooting. Last week, a console release date in early March was announced.

The game follows Michelle’s final days as she tries to break a curse placed upon her by a demon looking for love. Set in London, you’ll help (or hinder) the lives of some curious city residents as she tries to prevent her death. Her time is split between the demon world and the real world, where everyone has their inner demons. RPG-style dialogue interactions result in multiple possible endings. Michelle can open her Third Eye to sun enemies and reveal their weaknesses before taking them down with perfect combos and the ultimate shot.

PC and console versions will all receive the same new features on the console launch day. These changes include rebalanced combat areas, improved controller sensitivity, aim assist options, new difficulty modes, New Game+, Time Attack mode, and motion-controlled aiming (for example, gyroscope support on Nintendo Switch or motion sensor aiming on PlayStation).

Developed by à la mode games and published by Akupara Games, Sorry We’re Closed will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on March 6. It is currently available for PC.

Koei Tecmo reveals a second short trailer for Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme

A short trailer can be rewarding nonetheless, or at least Koei Tecmo is bold enough to put this statement in the title of the latest trailer for Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme.

Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme is the first full-fledged romance game in the Dead or Alive Xtreme series. Set on an island, there are six charming girls with whom to enjoy romantic encounters. You’re the boss here, where summer is everlasting. Your story unfolds based on the decisions you make surrounding the girls. Experience all that true love has to offer, beginning with the heart-fluttering sensation caused by casual gestures, the thrill felt while drawing closer to your love interest, and the worry about which girl to pick. Vivid visuals and fully-voiced animations make dates feel as though the two of you are in your own world. You can keep your favourite photograph from the dates as mementos.

Developed by Team Ninja and published by Koei Tecmo, Venus Vacation Prism: Dead or Alive Xtreme will be released in Japan and Asia for PC (Steam, DMM), PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on March 27. The Japanese version of the game only supports Japanese, but the Asian release (AKA the global version) includes language options for English, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese; the Steam version also supports these languages.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
