I fell in love instantly when I saw the trailer for Rockbeasts during today’s ID@Xbox showcase. The narrative band management RPG is set in 1993. You’re a band manager, taking the band on a tour of the most underground dive bars imaginable. Like many, their beginnings are humble, but you can take them from couch-surfing to crowd-surfing. It’s your choice to either stay true to the art or sell out for fame and fortune, it’s you. Rockbeasts will launch on PC and consoles this year.

Pick the venue, prep the set and make sure it all goes according to plan. Pull it off and the band might just finally take those first steps to fame and glory. Sure, this one was in a grimy basement, but even the rock legends had to start somewhere, right?
Experience the characters that bring this world to life, struggling with their own personal demons. Will you be the manager who helps those around you, or uses others as the stepping stone to success?
This fully voiced, dark comedy is brought to life by the art, vocal performances and story, written by acclaimed video game writer Jakub Szamałek (Senior writer of The Witcher 3, Principal Writer of Cyberpunk 2077 and the upcoming The Blood of Dawnwalker) and voices including none other than the rockstar himself, Iggy Pop. Branching narratives from a storytelling master means you’ll have to make meaningful choices and experience a whole different outcome for the future of your band.
Rockbeasts features over 100 characters to meet and 90 locations for you to explore, in a full double feature album’s-worth of story to be told. Speaking of double-features, the game also includes 17 full tracks for you to play at your gigs, performed and mastered just for Rockbeasts.
Each of your choices will impact your band and those around them. Your band members will change in time and so will your relationship with your band. Will you lay back and collect your weekly paycheck, or push these artists to their limits?

Developed by Lichthund and published by Team17 Digital, Rockbeasts will be released for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series later this year.
