Spirit of the North 2 was announced over a year ago, with very little heard about it since. Today, Infuse Studio (its developer) and Silver Lining Interactive announced they have formed a partnership. Indie publisher Silver Lining Interactive will be publishing Spirit of the North 2 digitally for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series this year; it will simultaneously release a physical edition for PC and PlayStation 5. (Why PC, I will never know. Boxes containing only a code make no sense.)
The first Spirit of the North title was launched in 2019. In his review of the game, DDNet Editor-in-Chief Matt writes, “Spirit of the North really is beautifully earnest in what it is looking to achieve” though described its pacing as clumsy and its puzzles/collectibles as arbitrary.
