If you’re interested in Rise of the Ronin but don’t have a PlayStation 5, you’re in luck! Today, Koei Tecmo announced that the open-world action RPG will launch for PC via Steam in early March. Rise of the Ronin is generally liked by critics and players alike. It takes place in the epic Bakumatsu and follows a ronin (a masterless warrior) on a historic journey to forge their destiny through the chaos of war and political unrest.

“Rise of the Ronin takes place in 1863 Japan where, after three centuries of the Tokugawa Shogunate’s reign, the Black Ships of the West descend upon the nation’s borders and the country falls into a state of turmoil. With Japan’s fate now in the hands of a ronin, players will encounter various historical figures. The countless choices they make, such as whether to assassinate or to protect key political figures like anti-Sogunate leader Ryoma Sakamoto, will not only shape their destiny, but also the multiple endings found in the game.”
Players can yield melee and long-range weapons. Customize them to adapt the weapons’ combat style. Different weapons work best with different enemies, presenting players with a variety of combat strategies and tactic options.
The PC version of Rise of the Ronin includes many exclusive features: 8K resolution support, DirectX 12 Ultimate support, ultra-wide and super ultra-wide monitor compatibility, 120 fps support, ray tracing support, 3D audio support, customizable keyboard and mouse controls, AMD Fidelity FX Super Resolution support, NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex support, a UI menu with mouse clickability, Intel XeSS graphics technology support.
Players who pre-order or purchase Rise of the Ronin for PC will receive an early purchase bonus of four combat styles, Hayabusa-ryu for katana, Hayabusa-ryu for naginata, Nioh-ryu for katana, Aisu Kage-ryu for katana, the Iga Ninja armour set, and the Iga Ninja’s katana.
Developed and published by Koei Tecmo, Rise of the Ronin is currently available for PlayStation 5. On March 11, it will be released for PC via Steam.
