The key art for REPOSE.

It’s your first day at [the company]. Your pay is decent and your coworkers are fine. But you’re always so tired and feel like something sinister might be at play. This is the beginning of REPOSE, a horror dungeon-crawler that puts you into an unsettling, unnerving, and unbegotten world. Each step, shot, and trap in its crumbling corridors may be your last. Today, publisher Akupara Games announced that it would be publishing the title, developed by Bozó Attila Bertold, which is expected to launch this year.

Here is the description of REPOSE, from Akupara Games:

Are you sleeping on the job again?

It’s your first day at [the company.] You’ve been tasked with recovering damaged oxygen tanks scattered throughout the facility. Don’t ask what they’re for. Don’t ask where they came from. Aaron used to do the same job. Don’t ask about Aaron. Focus on Cynthia: She’s kind to you, isn’t she? Doesn’t she care?

Is anything on the dead internet worth saving?

Every frame of REPOSE is meticulously hand-crafted pixel art. The atmosphere assembled with sharp focus on every detail. Every moment of gameplay methodically built to maximize tension and intrigue. What is this place? The facility just keeps going down and down.

Are you going to find any answers once you reach the bottom?

You have very limited energy that drains quickly with every decision, step, shot, and trap you set off. Your light will find them; your axe will kill them. The areas become more confusing and surreal as you descend. You do have a handgun — “just in case,” says [the company] — but you likely won’t need it. What lies below can’t be that dangerous… though if you happen to die, your achievements will persist!

Developed by Bozó Attila Bertold and published by Akupara Games, REPOST will be released later in 2025 for PC via Steam.
