It’s that time of year again! We’re counting down the days to Christmas with our own little “advent calendar” – one new game to play over the holiday season each and every day.

As the year winds down, things get really busy. We’ve got Christmas parties to attend, the end of year rush on work, and all the rest of it. But it’s also a time where we take holidays, find a moment to relax, and enjoy the company of others. This is the best chance to catch up on some key games that you might have missed from the year… or just play that multiplayer game that you’ve been waiting to get a crew together for.

It was one of the first really big games released this year, and it’s worth adding to this list because if you somehow let Infinite Wealth slide with so many other games released this year, then you owe it to yourself to catch back up ASAP, because Infinite Wealth is, arguably, the finest entry in the entire series.

It’s difficult to fully articulate just how much the location adds to the game – as the first Yakuza set outside of America, Infinite Wealth offers some astute and at times profound insights and observations through the culture shock that the characters find from wandering around Hawaii. It’s also wickedly funny, often moving, and plays, looks, and sounds incredible. The expanded Yakuza series has been a big deal for several years now, and Infinite Wealth makes it clear just why it deserves to be.
