It's better than breaking out Monopoly...

Apologies that this is a day late… for some reason the “publish” button decided not to work yesterday…

It’s that time of year again! We’re counting down the days to Christmas with our own little “advent calendar” – one new game to play over the holiday season each and every day.

As the year winds down, things get really busy. We’ve got Christmas parties to attend, the end of year rush on work, and all the rest of it. But it’s also a time where we take holidays, find a moment to relax, and enjoy the company of others. This is the best chance to catch up on some key games that you might have missed from the year… or just play that multiplayer game that you’ve been waiting to get a crew together for.

Day 14: Demon Slayer – Sweep the Board

Read our review here.

It would be very easy to recommend Mario Party here as an ideal Christmas game… and indeed there is a very good Mario Party that was released this year. But why go the easy path? Why not give this brilliantly entertaining “clone” a shot instead?

Sweep The Board takes the excellent characters and setting of Demon Slayer, and wraps it up in a board game that features the same mini-game mayhem as Mario Party. There are fewer minigames, but they’re almost all good, and there are boss battles instead, which get really manic in four player. Bust this game out and watch as it becomes a cult hit with family and friends… even people who don’t know anything about Demon Slayer can enjoy it!
