For those wanting to relive Tetris’ whopping 40-year history, Tetris Forever is made for you. It is an interactive timeline celebrating the genre-inspiring puzzle game including over 15 titles. Only a handful were listed when Tetris Forever was revealed. The other titles were kept quiet for nearly two months. Today, developer Digital Eclipse revealed a trailer detailing most of the games that will be playable in the upcoming compilation.
A virtual museum lets you browse archival materials such as video featurettes, photos, advertisements, and recreated HD playable games that are presented chronologically. The featurettes total over 90 minutes and explain the true story of Tetris. (Wait, you’re telling me Hollywood films don’t tell the story entirely truthfully?!)
Here are the 13 confirmed games that will be included in Tetris Forever:
- Tetris (originally released in 1988 on the Apple II)
- Tetris (originally released in 1988 on the Famicom)
