Upcoming Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? sequel adds PC version, English support

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? ~Fullland of Water and Light~ is the next title in the fanservice-filled series based on the popular manga and anime franchise, with an original story drafted by the series creator. (The first was released in 2020.) It was first announced only for Nintendo Switch, with only Japanese language support, but now it is confirmed that a PC version will launch alongside the Nintendo Switch version — and it will also support English! A full trailer has been released, following a quick teaser early in the year.

One day, without warning, the labyrinthine city of Orario was transformed and became a submerged city — a world of water. Here, Bell meets a mysterious girl who calls him “Fullland” before running off, seemingly wanting to play. Simultaneously, he receives a glowing blue sword known as an ultramarine sword. This story is already familiar to Bell, as he once read the heroic tale Fullland of Water and Light. Was this a clue? Bell and his friend follow the trail of characters in the story, finding an abundance of thoughts and emotions that were not originally depicted.

Published by Bushiroad Games, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? ~Fullland of Water and Light~ will launch for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. No release window/date has been announced.

Play as a ferret in upcoming DLC for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island

Spike Chunsoft has announced that the paid DLC Plus Pack for Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island will be launching in the West with Part 1 this week, and Part 2 will launch at the same time both in the West and in Japan. Each part will include one new playable character in Sacred Tree mode and five dungeons. Spoiler alert: the first playable character is Koppa the ferret! Who doesn’t want to play as a ferret?! DDNet Editor-in-Chief Matt gave the base game a wonderful score in his review, so here’s hoping the DLC is up to par.

Plus Pack Part 1 adds Koppa the “talking” ferret as a playable character in Sacred Tree Mode. Since Koppa is a mere ferret, he cannot inflict damage by attacking. He also cannot equip any gear. However, he does move at double speed and has special abilities like Burrow. Two of the five new dungeons are Forest of Frugality and Peachy Trap Domain. Plus Pack Part 2 features Asuka, a longtime friend of Shiren and Koppa who has come to the Island for a specific reason. One of its five new dungeons will have high difficulty, even worse than Heart of Serpentcoil Island.

Developed and published by Spike Chunsoft, Shiren the Wanderer: The Mystery Dungeon of Serpentcoil Island is available for Nintendo Switch. In Japan, DLC Plus Pack Part 1 is available now; it will launch on September 10 in the West. Part 2 will launch on October 31 worldwide. The Plus Pack DLC parts will be sold as one package and are not available separately.

Nostalgic horror game BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA launches in October

BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA is a third-person psychological horror game that follows college student Garasu Yuki, who is attacked by a strange creature before heading to a creepy mountain searching for her abducted dog. An October release date was revealed last week, as was a key visual from renowned horror manga artist Suehiro Maruo.

Developed by IchimatsuSuzuka and published by Kodansha Game Creators’ Lab, BAN: The Prologue of GUCHA GUCHA will be released for PC via Steam on October 23.

Originally set to launch on September 16, Phoenix Springs has been delayed by a few weeks to give the publisher additional time to be sure the game lives up to high expectations. “Thanks to everyone who has shown such enthusiasm for our game since we announced it and we hope you’re OK to just wait a little bit longer to play Phoenix Springs,” says Jigmé Özer, the founder of Calligram Studio, in a press release. “We needed some extra time to get the game ready for release, so we made the decision to delay the game until October 7th. It’s up to you to figure out what leads are false while solving logical puzzles.

Developed and published by Calligram Studio, Phoenix Springs will be released for PC via Steam on October 7.
