The original Bustafellows is going to be a difficult act to follow. In his review, Matt gave the game five stars and wrote, “The serialised, sustained, character-driven nature of it helps make the narrative arcs as compelling to follow as anything Law & Order has ever offered fans, while the pervasive humour gives it the same quirky quality as a Castle or Bones.” Sequel Bustafellows Season 2 first launched in Japan for iOS/Android and Nintendo Switch in May 2023, and today PQube announced that it would be coming West for PC and Nintendo Switch during 2025.
The gang that everyone knows and loves is back, and trouble can’t help but follow. Bustafellows Season 2 is described as a “movie-like experience” where you’ll meet new characters, make important decisions, and solve unspeakable crimes.
Bustafellows Season 2 brings players back to the fictional North American city of New Sieg. There are five episodes, each with one of five male leads as an integral part to the overall story. Continue building upon relationships you’ve already formed with Teuta, Limbo, Shu, Helvetica, Mozu, and Scarecrow. Grow together through struggles, and learn new sides to each of the men.

A new flowchart system allows you to review your progress or replay different parts of the game, so you can really shine a light into every dark corner of New Sieg. Through “certain conditions” (how mysterious!), collect memorabilia and extra episodes. A special episode unlocks when you have existing save data for the first game on the system. Returning characters have new outfits, hairstyles, and scenarios.
Developed by eXtend (Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Extend Inc.) and published by PQube in the West, Bustafellows Season 2 will be released for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch during 2025.
