Dave the Diver makes nice with Godzilla in upcoming DLC

The deepest, darkest depths of water are terrifying places at the best of times. We all know mysterious monsters lurk. For Dave the Diver, well… that means he is about to come fact to face with the mighty monarch of monsters itself: Godzilla. International joint military organization G-Force has tracked a wounded Godzilla to Blue Hole, but it is Dave who stumbles across the creature while looking for fish. Godzilla is wary, as he should be, but he may just find help in this unexpected ally.

Dave the Diver meets Godzilla.

In the DLC, you’ll pursue iconic deep-sea Kaiju Ebirah from the 1966 film bearing his name. Evade Ebirah’s assaults as he relentlessly comes after Dave’s submarine. Harpoons are ineffective against its shell. Dave jumps ship – literally – to the G-Force submarine to confront Ebirah head-on.

Developed and published by Mintrocket, Dave the Diver is available now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The Godzilla DLC launches on May 23 and will only be available until November 23.

Core Keeper is set to leave Early Access for a full launch on PC and consoles

Cozy mining game Core Keeper has been available in Early Access for PC for two years now, and the full launch (PC and consoles) is now set for August of this year. The 1.0 launch will feature a major update with new content, features, and improvements. The developer is tight-lipped at this point, but expect “all kinds of excitement, including new and unique ways to play and customize your game.” It promises something cool is coming out soon about 1.0 soon, something that will be worth the wait.

Before the 1.0 launch date, there will be one more update to the Early Access version of Core Keeper. It was originally supposed to be minor, including a bit of new content. The developer is now pivoting to focus on the game’s performance and necessary bug fixes. That new content will now come packaged with the 1.0 update.

Developed by Pugstorm and published by Fireshine Games, Core Keeper will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on August 27.

2018 boys-love VN The Town of Nie will be released for Steam and Nintendo Switch

Hisora lost his family as a teen, and currently works a boring part-time job. One day while at work, he notices a man in mourning clothes who drops some flowers while heading into an alley. Hisora attempts to return the flowers but loses sight of the man, finding himself instead at the entrance to another world where death is a far-away concept. Hisora is the only one made of flesh and blood, sure, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t others who should be six-feet under. He’ll have to find a way home while also finding a way to stay safe.

New features for this version of The Town of Nie include new visuals by the original game’s original artist, multi-language support (Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese), and a fun operating system with functionality such as voice save.

Developed by Zombilica and published by dramatic create, The Town of Nie will be released worldwide for PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch on September 19.

Assassin’s Creed Codename Red is now Assassin’s Creed Shadows

My spouse is a huge Assassin’s Creed fan, and a November going by without a new title is like a year without Christmas to him. We don’t talk about last year. This November brings the launch of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, a historical action-adventure story set in feudal Japan. You’ll become a lethal shinobi Assassin (Naoe) and a legendary samurai (Yasuke) while exploring a beautiful world captured in a time of chaos. Switch seamlessly between the two allies with a common destiny. Information can be wielded much like a sword, so build a network of eyes and ears across the land.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows pre-orders include a bonus quest, Thrown to the Dogs. There are three editions of the game available: standard, Gold, and Ultimate. Gold Edition includes the base game, three days of early access, and a season pass. The Ultimate Edition includes everything from the Gold Edition, plus the Ultimate Pack containing the Sekiryu Character Pack, Hideout Pack, five skill points, and the Red Dragon filter in Photo mode

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on November 15.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
