Mere days ago, I was whining about how a new trailer for Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling didn’t quite make up for the lack of a known release date. Someone somewhere must have heard my cries, because today Idea Factory International announced the game’s release date. It also dropped a Fan Disc trailer that traces the throughline between the best endings of Cupid Parasite and Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling.
The first game in the series, Cupid Parasite, follows a top bridal advisor named Lynette at Cupid Corporation in glitzy Los York. Lynette also happens to be Cupid herself, desperate to get a promotion. To do so, she has to handle the matchmaking of the Parasite 5 – who just so happen to be infamous for being hopeless in the romance department. She creates a reality television series centred around them, but it’s still a difficult task. Along the way, she may fall in love herself.
Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling has three modes. After Drama is a follow-up, picking up where you left off in the last game. New Parasite brings players to Merenice Levin’s perspective of the events that take place after Cupid Parasite’s common route. Bonus Episode contains six bonus episodes with unlockable CGs.
In After Drama, Cupid is experiencing love firsthand. She becomes a goddess, but “only” for him. Marriage wasn’t necessarily the goal, but it was the start of a new chapter. Every step along the way, they found unexpected challenges… so don’t expect it to stop now! A mysterious creature has appeared in the city; is it divine intervention or evidence of an unknown civilisation?
In Merenice’s route, her days of being Cupid aren’t over yet! She’s about to find herself at the centre of a romantic and comedic story set in the world of matchmaking.

There are three special physical editions of the Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling. Developed by Idea Factory and published by Idea Factory International, Cupid Parasite: Sweet and Spicy Darling will be released digitally and physically for Nintendo Switch on May 28.
