The key art for Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade.

There is nothing like Hello Kitty to up your happiness factor on a gloomy day, and there’s certainly been a lot of those lately. Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade is what it sounds like: Hello Kitty and her friends dance to music in a super fun parade. The Nintendo Switch version of the game was announced back in March for an April release, but that ended up being delayed. It’s now been announced that it will be launching late next week instead. It was first released for mobile devices in November 2022.

Hello Kitty and her friends are on a music tour, spreading happiness to all. But Kuromi is very jealous of Hello Kitty’s growing fan base, and will stop and nothing to end the music by dispatching goons and laying traps. Players will have to dance to the beat of the music, avoid traps, use each character’s abilities, collection coins and upgrades, and complete challenges.

Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade stars Hello Kitty herself, of course, but what about those friends? Ten of them are here for the parade, including Kerokerokeroppi, Badtz-Maru, Pompompurin, and more. They’ll all step to the beat and roll to the rhythm of over 40 tracks – 20 of which are curated exclusively for this Nintendo Switch version of the game – while bringing joy to the universe.

The game includes 23 different levels; three of these are new to the Nintendo Switch version of the game. Unlock new besties, discover upgrades, and avoid Kuromi’s tricky traps, and have everyone bopping around for days. Each parade has a mini fashion show with customisable accessories like hats and sunglasses. Don’t forget to strike a pose during the mid-parade photoshoots!

Interestingly enough, Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade has five different endings. Trying to get all of them should be interesting!

Developed by Dabadu Games and published by Rogue Games, Hello Kitty and Friends Happiness Parade will be released for Nintendo Switch on October 26. It is currently available for iOS/Android via Netflix as Hello Kitty Happiness Parade.
