We do love a good dungeon crawler!

Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk was one of those lesser-known dungeon crawlers that was actually very good. Now there’s a successor on the way courtesy of NISA, called Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society, and it too is looking very good.

The plot, as we know it so far, follows the story of a wandering spirit, summoned by one Madame Marta, who must traverse through the depths of a runic labyrinth deep below the surface of the Earth. You won’t be alone, however! For every malevolent creature you come across, you’ll be backed by Madame Marta’s assistant Eureka, and a posse of “soul-infused” puppets under your control – up to 40 of them, and all completely customisable. The game specifically lists a predicted ‘50 hours of exploration adventure’, though looking at Labyrinth of Refrain, and all-included adjacent side-quests and plot lines, that might be underselling it a little for people that love their content.

Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society is already available on the PS4, PS Vita, and Switch in Japan, but has been set to release in early 2023 for the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC (via Steam) on February 14 in North America, and just a few days later on February 17 in Europe. Over the last few years we have enjoyed a wave of dungeon crawlers, though this looks like it might be at the tail-end of that, so hopefully it goes down a treat.
