Digitally Downloaded covers the news that indie adventure title, Smile For Me, is coming to consoles

Smile For Me first launched for PC via Steam in May 2019, and it’s now set to arrive on consoles in Spring 2023 (Autumn 2023, for us in the southern hemisphere), as announced by Serenity Forge and Limbo Lane. Assuming you’re not terrified by clowns, this could be a great game.

Smile For Me is filled with charming characters, unconventional puzzles, and an immersive story. If you could only use one word to describe the general gist of the game, it would surely be strange (in the best way possible).

As you explore the beautiful, yet mysterious world of Smile For Me, you’ll chat with over 20 strange and unique characters, utilise the environment to the best of your abilities to discover various backstories, and, naturally, solve a truckload of puzzles! The game’s primary unique gameplay mechanic allows you to nod and shake your head to communicate with characters and progress through the story – there’s a surprising amount that you can do with this mechanic, too, so don’t be fooled by its simplicity.

As mentioned, the game’s been available on PC for a few years now, and it has been a big hit by indie standards, with nearly 1,500 user reviews and an average score of 10/10. If you are more of a console gamer, the 2023 release will be on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
