As has become an annual tradition at DDNet, we are here to help you count down towards Christmas! One new game every day for the 24 days from December 1 to Christmas Eve. Think of it as a kind of Advent Calendar, if you will, giving you new tips and ideas for games to pick up and play at that rare time of year where everyone does have a little more time to indulge their favourite hobbies.
Also, it’s an excuse to post pictures of cute anime girls in Christmas gear every day. I won’t deny that we love doing that too.
We may have only just reviewed this yesterday, but it really is an ideal Christmas game. It’s short and won’t consume any more of your time than necessary, and it’s an uncomplicated multiplayer-focused experience, meaning that it’s easy to pick up and play with whatever company that you’ve got at the time.
There’s also a hint of nostalgia that you might get from the game. Asterix & Obelix have been around for many years now and were for many of us part of our youth. What is unfortunately uncommon is games that do those classic comic books justice, but playing this game is very much akin to experience of reading the comic books, and that throwback to childhood is something that Christmas does at its best.
