As has become an annual tradition at DDNet, we are here to help you count down towards Christmas! One new game every day for the 24 days from December 1 to Christmas Eve. Think of it as a kind of Advent Calendar, if you will, giving you new tips and ideas for games to pick up and play at that rare time of year where everyone does have a little more time to indulge their favourite hobbies.
Also, it’s an excuse to post pictures of cute anime girls in Christmas gear every day. I won’t deny that we love doing that too.
Day #14: Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!
Okay, hear me out here. A big part of the reason that I’ve got this game on the Christmas countdown is that it’s Hatsune Miku, and I feel the need to shill for Miku at absolutely every opportunity possible. I’m not denying that for a second. After all, Miku’s just the best.
But there’s more to it than that, too. This Miku game is a gatcha-filled free-to-play game, so you need to be careful if you have a certain predisposition to spending money (I swear I’m going broke when they do a swimsuit thing), but the gameplay itself in Colorful Stage is rock-solid, the music is a delight, and the game is perfect for the kind of short bursts of play that, as we’ve already discussed in this list, is often all the time we’ll get for gaming through the season.
