BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition is, as the name suggests, a “special edition” of the base BlazBlue: Central Fiction title. That’s already available on other platforms, but this special edition is launching on Nintendo Switch. Which makes me very happy, because while the Switch already has that crossover fighter, this will be the first “proper” Switch BlazBlue.
And now we have a release date. It lands in Europe on February 8, 2019. There’s no American release date yet, but given the Japanese version of the game launches on February 7, I’d be guessing all regions will be getting the game about the same time.
Here’s the summary of the game:
Experience the final chapter of the epic BlazBlue saga in 40-plus hours of story mode, featuring over 30 unique characters on more than 60 stages and challenge yourself or your friends in one of the many modes – anywhere you go! Including all downloadable content and updates to date, BlazBlue: Central Fiction Special Edition Special Edition will be the most comprehensive version of the showpiece anime fighting game series from Japan.
