It’s an eclectic mix this week, as we talk about the ongoing development of No Man’s Sky, Taiko the Drum on the Nintendo Switch, and everyone’s favourite Nintendo hero, Captain Toad!
Is it okay to creatively alter games after release, if “fans” don’t like it? Or should a developer be able to stick to its creative vision, even if it means some people don’t like it? That’s been an ongoing debate in the games industry for some years now, with games being the one art form that can be “updated” after release, and forms the core of our discussion this week.
