News by Matt S.

This Summer (or Winter for those of us in the southern hemisphere) Bandai Namco will release a package of two Summer Lesson titles in English, in the Southeast Asian region (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia).

That package is of the two Summer Lesson titles that have previously been only available in Japanese. The first one, focused on a character called Hikari Miyamoto, has already been localised (and is really, really good). The new release will give us both Alison Snow and Chisato Shinjo’s stories. And today Bandai Namco has released a video trailer for Alison Snow’s chapter:

In addition to the base games, the English package also comes with a whole load of DLC, summarised below:

  • Summer Lesson: Allison Snow Seven Days Garden (Basic Game Pack)
  • Summer Lesson: Allison Snow International Exchange (Add-on Pack)
  • Summer Lesson: Allison Snow Summer Sky Singing Voice (Add-on Pack)
  • Summer Lesson: Allison Snow Extra Scene Cheering Edition (Outfit and Situation)
  • Summer Lesson: Allison Snow Extra Scene Watermelon Splitting (Outfit and Situation)
  • Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo Seven Night Etude (Basic Game Pack)
  • Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo Magic Hour of Red Carpet (Add-on Pack)
  • Summer lesson: Chisato Shinjo Refreshing Breakfast Time (Add-on Pack)
  • Summer lesson: Chisato Shinjo Extra Scene Twilight Youth Edition (Outfit and Situation)
  • Summer Lesson: Chisato Shinjo Extra Scene Kayo Show (Outfit and Situation)
These games are genuinely great examples of what VR can do to take a fairly common concept for a game – they’re basically “management sims”, and really inject them with new life by giving people a very different perspective and a far more lifelike look at the game world and characters.
