The first season of Attack on Titan ended in 2013 but since then, its studio has been silent on even the chance of another season.
Alas, the deafening silence has been broken! During the Tokyo International Forum the cast made the announcement during a live-reading event. The official Twitter account has confirmed the news: (very) loosely translated, the Tweet states that TV anime Attack on Titan, Season 2, has a new teaser page and a new key visual.

Wit Studio remains the lead for Attack on Titan; they’ve recently finished the first season of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. However, there are a handful of staff changes. Masashi Koizuka has been promoted from episode director to director, and Tetsuro Araki will be chief director.

While waiting for the next season, Attack on Titan fans should look out for Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom (or just Attack on Titan for the Americas) on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The developer’s take on the manga has been developing quite nicely and should fill the Attack on Titan void until season two of the anime debuts in early 2017.
