Prepare for an adventure set in a time thousands of years before the events of Warhammer 40,000 in Nomad Games’ next installment in the Talisman series, as Talisman: The Horus Heresy is set for release at the end of next month.
In the original Talisman (board) game, a single adventurer travels through a single magical kingdom. In Talisman: The Horus Heresy, however, the exploration is opened up to an entire galaxy during the 31st Millennium. The purpose is no longer to gain the Crown of Command, but instead steps up 1,000 degrees of importance as the entirety of humanity is in grave peril.
The Horus Heresy is best described as a cataclysmic (isn’t that an amazing word?) civil war. The Primarch Horus turned against the Emperor. Heroes are fighting over the right to rule the galaxy while others clash with former comrades, and all the while the dark gods of Chaos want everything for themselves. The story originates in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and has been turned into a book series, board games, and video games.

Talisman: The Horus Heresy will be available for pre-order on January 26 with an expected launch at the end of February for PC and Mac. A mobile release is anticipated in the following months.
