I’m sure you remember The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s release earlier this year. It probably ate ate up dozens (hundreds?) of hours of your time. Prepare to return to it, though, as it has an expansion pack is out and the trailer certainly makes an impact.

The expansion is titled Hearts of Stone and promises to deliver ten hours of new gameplay, new characters, a new romance (oooooh!), and a new storyline that is based on the player’s choices. Essentially, The Witcher 3 plus Choose-Your-Own-Adventures equals Hearts of Stone – and that’s not a bad thing. The trailer show Gerald of Rivia being hired to defeat an immortal bandit captain. Oh, and there’s a ghost, so that’s also pretty awesome.
As an added bonus, Hearts of Stone also introduces a new Runewords system which has a dramatic effect on gameplay. Each Runeword impacts a different in-game technical aspect, which allows for you to play with different strategies.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Hearts of Stone is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. There is also a collector’s edition that contains a download code and several other goodies.
