Well folks, Edmund McMillen is at it again. Last month he released Fingered, a Guess Who-style game that can really make you reconsider perception and personal bias that you can read more about in August 17’s Catch-up coffee. Now he has announced that The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth (DLC for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth) is coming to Steam on October 30. And since apparently release dates warrant a trailer there days, here’s one:

The expansion touts an additional 100+ hours of gameplay and features new challenges, over one thousand new rooms, dozens of new items, 25 new enemies, a handful of new bosses, and a new playable character in the form of Lilith. The main game includes a new ending along with a new final area and new final boss. Greed Mode is a brand new way to play that focuses heavily on risk/reward and features new endings and a final boss. There will also be daily runs available where players can complete for the best time or score on online leaderboards.

While Afterbirth’s current expected release date is only related to Steam, it’s definitely expected that it will roll out to all other consoles.
