It’s must be somebody’s birthday, because Square Enix has just given everyone a huge present in the form of Dragon Quest XI screenshots! It has released several stills for both the PlayStation 4 and the 3DS version of the game.
First up, we have four images from the PS4 version of the game. You’ll see scenery (above), two views of one town, and a battle screen featuring the tradition turn-based system and some familiar monsters.
Next up are the 3DS images. The images all showcase the difference between 2D and 3D view (or top and bottom screen view), and this is our first look at seeing how the innovative system will work.
Dragon Quest XI was originally announced at the end July, and we were all surprised to learn that it would have two different versions on two very different consoles. Since these screenshots are the first we’ve seen, we’ll be keeping a close eye out for more in the future!
