Mike Bithell’s Volume experiencing delays for PS Vita version

When we first saw the trailer for Volume, we were enthralled. It is the second game from Thomas Was Alone creator Mike Bithell. The game was expected to hit Steam worldwide on August 18, and PlayStation 4 and Vita on August 18 in North America and August 19 in Europe. Unfortunately the game’s PS Vita version seems to have some kinks that need ironed out, and Bithell has announced that the portable version of the game has been delayed for short time.

While Volume’s release on Steam and PS4 will go ahead as planned, the Vita game needs “a couple more weeks” to get it to where the development team wants it to be. Bithell explains, “It’s so very nearly ready, but it needs a little more love. A few personal problems and issues have slowed down our submittal, so even though the game is “done” on Vita, we still have some QA process to go through (because that stuff matters).”

The game boasts crossbuy functionality on the PlayStation consoles, and the delay in the Vita version won’t change this: if you purchase the PS4 version of the game the Vita version will be made available to you as soon as it is released.
