Three times Five Nights at Freddy’s obviously wasn’t enough. Not only is the fourth installment of Scott Cawthon’s popular indie point-and-click horror game on its way, it is coming months ahead of the anticipated release and a new trailer has dropped.
Originally slated for a Halloween 2015 release, Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter is now set to release on August 8 to celebrate the release of the original game. Yes, that is four installments in a one-year period – but the games are so popular who can blame Cawthon for making more? In order to remain in the spirit on Halloween, a free update with additional content will be made available at that time.
Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter moves the story from the pizza parlour to a home (so you’re not stuck in an office), but the basic premise remains the same: dodge all seriously creepy animatronics and survive the night. Hopefully moving the release date up by nearly three months isn’t detrimental to the game’s quality.
