With no new Hatsune Miku rhythm game on the horizon for the PlayStation Vita, it’s time to turn our attention to Rise Dancing… sorry, Persona 4 Dancing All Night.
Being developed with the help of the folk involved in the Project Diva games, Dancing All Night is surely going to be a great game, especially when you consider the raw quality of all the music that appeared in Persona 4 proper. Further to this, Persona is now Atlus’ premier franchise, and with the quality of other Persona 4 spinoffs, such as the Arena fighting games and the Persona Q dungeon crawler, you get the sense that Atlus simply won’t let these games be anything but quality.
It’s still a while away before we’ll get our hands on the game ourselves, but to whet our appetite, there’s been a steady stream of trailers and the like recently. To really whet our appetite, the latest trailer is all about the swimwear costumes.
Chie, Yukiko, and Rise all had swimwear scenes in the original Persona 4, so unsurprisingly, their swimsuits in Persona 4 Dancing All Night are these costumes. You’ve got Chie’s tomboy-like shorts, Yukiko’s elegant skirted bottom number and Rise’s very idol-like orange bikini. Naoto who, to the best of my recollection, never wears a swimsuit in Persona 4, also joins the party with a conservative one piece that certainly fits the character.
The swimsuits are a superficial addition for sure, but I don’t care. Rise. Ohboyohboyohboyohboy.
Enjoy the trailer. It’s enjoyable!
