The upcoming Pokemon X & Y will no doubt be a hit, and Nintendo cleared up a few questions in some recent announcements. First, players will get a starter Pokemon from one of their NPC friends: Froakie, Fennekin or Chespin. They will also get another one from Professor Sycamore: Squirtle, Charmander or Bulbasaur.
Mega Evolutions were also explained as something that can only be triggered during a battle, and that you need both the Mega Stone and a Mega Ring.
Lastly, an app for the 3DS called the Poke Transporter had been mentioned previously. Here it has been explained as a way to import your captured Pokemon from Black/White and Black 2/White 2 into X & Y. There was also talk of a Pokemon Bank app, which for a yearly fee allows you to store Pokemon in this online bank.
Pokemon X & Y is set to release on October 12th in the US, Europe and Japan on the Nintendo 3DS. Below we have some screen captures, artwork, a glimpse at the upcoming Pokemon themed 3DS units and boxes as well as a trailer. Enjoy!
