What kind of an anniversary celebration is a garage sale? The kind that thanks gamers for their patronage with some awesome price cuts – digitally of course.
For one week only, the developer of Bard’s Tale (among others) will be treating fans to discounts of up to 75 per cent off via its Digital Garage Sale. It’s all to say ‘thank you’ for helping to keep the company going for the past 10 years.
From the press release:
“inXile is in the best place since its inception thanks to the crowd funding of Wasteland 2. It feels good to have the confidence and support of the gamers and to be wholly focused on RPGs again,” said Brian Fargo, of inXile Entertainment. “And we want to celebrate our 10-year anniversary by lowering our prices to allow even more gamers to discover our titles. Although known for our RPGs we have quite a diverse catalogue in our history. Games range from Fantastic Contraption, Line Rider, Bard’s Tale, Choplifter to our most recent iOS release with Solitaire + Friends.”
The Bard's Tale on iPad + 60beat controller = awesome fun 😀
These guys really do support their fans in a very genuine way. It's nice to see.
OK then, you got me. I've not played Bards, but I will do now. Incidentally, and very sadly, did you see the news of Mike Singleton's death? It's a sad loss to the industry; Lords of Midnight got me and many others into gaming. I think I'll honour his memory by playing it again.
Yes indeed, it was a sad day yesterday. I think I'll join you with replaying Lords of Midnight.
