How do you handle a drunken whaler, how do you handle a drunken whaler, how do you handle a drunken whaler early in the mornin’? …I don’t know- give ’em a free song? A contest maybe?

Arrr- The Drunken Whaler (the score to the E3 trailer for Bethesda and Arkane studios’ upcoming shooter Dishonored) now be available as a tot’lly free download me hearties! Yarrrrrr- ah, that’s really more pirate than just plain old sailor isn’t it? Oh well, I tried. Here’s the info on the track (which is only for personal use BTW- don’t even think about using it commercially):

COPILOT Strategic Music + Sound collaborated with Bethesda Softworks on an original score, resulting in the chilling rendition of the ‘The Drunken Sailor’ sea shanty featured in the first gameplay trailer forDishonored. The trailer for the highly-anticipated first-person assassination action video game under development at Arkane Studios featured ‘The Drunken Whaler’ track and ultimately won Machinima.com’s “Best Trailer” award following its initial showing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Learn more how ‘The Drunken Whaler’ was created by visiting copilotmusic.com/dishonored.

And going right along with the release is a chance to snag a free copy of the game courtesy of the official ‘Remix Competition’. All you need to do is download the song and craft your own remix of it. When you’re done with your hit mix, just submit it here (by September 28th) and you might be stealing away into the shadows with a free copy of the game.

While we’re on the subject of the game- Dishonored launches for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 9th in the US (October 12th in Europe).
