This is a real pity. I'm always looking for a good new 4X experience.
Great review though!
Thanks. I was just stunned at the initial release and how poor it was. Seriously, I don't think I've ever seen a full game release with so many patch notes – I believe there are 6 individual patches already. Promising in that it looks like hte Devs do want the experience to get better, but unfortunate that it released in such a state.
I totally agree. Like SotS2, this is one to check out, but only when it's finished.

Not that that's an excuse for releasing an incomplete product, but I do feel for the developers.
I feel for them as well, but at UK£35 I also feel for the punters. I had the dubious pleasure of reviewing LoP for another site, and (as Chalgyr said) it was *utterly* horrible on release. It's great that they're patching it, but someone, somewhere ought to have intervened to push back the release date 🙁
Glad to know your thoughts appear to have been in-line with mine. Honestly, it was just unfortunate. I had lots of hope when I read up on this game, but the reality was they rushed it out the door too quickly.
