Wasteland 2 is fast on it’s way to becoming a full fledged PC game thanks to a pretty successful Kickstarter campaign. Now the dev team is giving players one more reason to kick in a little help.
The original post-apocalyptic RPG, Wasteland will now be included with the sequel when it’s finally wrapped according to inXile Entertainment. The company claims that the first title to bear the name was the number one request from fans looking to donate the developer’s Kickstarter.
“The #1 request we had during our Kickstarter campaign was to have the ability to play the first game. Fortunately EA has continued to support us on this project and has granted us the ability to bring the original to the players,” said Brian Fargo, of inXile Entertainment. “It is great to be able to make Wasteland available for those feeling nostalgic or who want to experience it for the first time. It certainly will not be a pre-requisite to understand Wasteland 2, but it adds some extra flavor if you did play the prequel.”
If you’re not familiar with the game, Wasteland is an all time classic, helped birth the Fallout series, and won a whole mess of awards when it was released back in 1996. You can find out more pertaining to the revival here.
