The newest DLC for Rockstar’s hit shooter Max Payne 3 is almost here, and it’s bringing the boys in blue to Sao Paulo.
Updated with screens.

The single biggest addition in the Local Justice pack is a brand new faction- the Sao Paulo police department. Not really seen all that much in the main game, the cops of the Brazilian city will be bringing their look to the multiplayer mode of MP3 with gusto.

Not only does the dlc come with the full suite of customization options in the game’s avatar creation mode, but you’ll also find some brand new maps (including the 55th Battalion HQ), and a new shootin’ iron to play with.

• 55th Battalion HQ map for all game modes• The Imperial Palace/Departure Lounge maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer• Light Fingers Item for faster looting• M4 Assault Rifle with attachments• São Paulo Police Faction with related avatar customization options

Look for the Local Justice pack to be available on July 3rd (just in time for American Independence Day) for 480mspts on Xbox Live or $5.99 USD on the PSN or PC. If that sounds kind of cheap to you, you’re on to something – the pack is on sale for the launch week only since Rockstar originally promised Local Justice would arrive in June. The developer is cutting the price to show their “appreciation for your patience”.

After the first week, the dlc jumps up to it’s normal price of 640mspts or $7.99 on the PSN and PC.

Also happening on July 3rd is the public availability of all the pre-order dlc that players could have grabbed at launch depending on where they got their copy of Max Payne 3. If you’ve purchased the Season Pass for the game, you get all this stuff for free- so don’t buy it! If not, here’s your price list you a’la carte lovin’ fiend you.

• Cemetery Map: 160 MSFT Points / $1.99 PSN• Silent Killer Loadout Pack: 160 MSFT Points / $1.99 PSN• Pill Bottle Item: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN• Deadly Force Burst: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN• Classic Max Payne Character: 80 MSFT Points / $0.99 PSN
