Your iDevice is about to slow down, and that’s a good thing- bullet time arrives on iOS.
Now available on the App Store for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch (right here actually), the very first game to feature that now familiar John Woo slo-mo effect called bullet time is bringing the heat.
Max’s initial game was a bit of a brekthrough for action titles at the time of it’s release. It actually offered something new with bullet time and that’s still rare for a game like this. I mean really, how much innovation can you actually have in a genre where the goal is to shoot as many dudes as possible?
“Max Payne was the original cinematic action-shooter,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We’re really proud to bring its intense gunplay and dark story to mobile devices. Remedy did an amazing job with this game and it still feels fresh today.”
The full classic Max Payne experience, Max Payne Mobile has been optimized for iOS devices, featuring HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity and user-customizable controls.
If you’ve played Max, then you know how good it is ad I doubt I have to see you too much on a portable version. If you haven’t, do yourself a favor and take a peek at the iOS edition. It’s up right now for $2.99 and supports any iPhone from the 3Gs on up, the iPod Touch 4, and all iPads… I imagine if you’re playing on a first gen ‘Pad though, you’re probably gonna see some ‘reduced performance’ as they say.
Holy crap this port is brilliant! You'll get the review soon, but it's going to be a really, really positive one.
The iPad now had an A-grade shooter style game!
